Social media is so much more than a tool for marketing—it’s a space to build meaningful relationships.
And as Christian business owners, isn’t that what we’re called to do?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned, both in business and in life, is that relationships are at the core of everything. Whether it’s with clients, colleagues, or family, nurturing relationships is what creates connection, trust, and impact. The same goes for your social media presence!
Why Relationships Matter on Social Media Your audience isn’t just a number—they’re people looking for connection and value. When you engage authentically, you’re not just growing your business; you’re building a community that sees the heart behind your work.
3 Ways to Build Relationships Through Social Media: 1️⃣ Engage Genuinely – Respond to comments, reply to DMs, and like and share posts that align with your values. Your audience will feel seen and valued. 2️⃣ Show Your Human Side – Share behind-the-scenes moments or personal stories (like the family picture I’ve included above! 👨👩👧👦). Let your audience know who you are beyond your business. 3️⃣ Be Consistent – Relationships grow over time. Show up regularly to build trust and familiarity with your followers.
One of my favorite parts of being a business owner is the freedom to balance work with my role as a wife and mom. Sharing bits of my family life has helped me connect with others who share the same priorities and values. That’s the beauty of relationship-building—you get to show up as your authentic self and inspire others to do the same.
Let’s Take Action Together! This week, I encourage you to post something that highlights your personal story. Maybe it’s a photo of your family, a favorite hobby, or a meaningful moment. Don’t overthink it—just be YOU and watch the connections grow. 💕
